WELCOME TO BELLA ROSA CANE CORSO
Everything Cane Corso
WHO WE ARE
We are Brad and Josie Larios. We come from humble beginnings.
In 1995 Virginia Dunn imported a couple of Cane Corsos from a farm in Portsenaga, Italy. during this time, Corsos were endangered and were only shown in niche confirmation rings such as ARBA (American Rare Breed Association), and IABCA. (International All Breed Canine Association) (More on that later!)
Due to their rarity, many did not know what the true breed was or the rustic standard, let alone what the whole purpose of the breed really is and what they do best for us in the now.
Virginia worked hard day in and day out working with the Corso community building bonds, encouraging proactive breeding standards, ethics and practices still used today.
Virginia participated in and helped form the ICCF (international Cane Corso Federation) before helping to establish the CCAA (Cane Corso Association of America).
She passed away shortly after the American Kennel Club took standard recognition of the breed.
After her passing, we continue her legacy of being an ethical dog breeder and educator in a small, and methodical way. There is no way to fill her shoes, but we strive to produce Corsos of excellent health and temperament that are true to the rustic Italian standard.
Since our first litter, we have been striving to create a healthy program and build lasting relationships within the Corso community. All our puppies have been socialized with children and other animals from birth. Every single dog in our line is AKC registered with multiple champions and world champions in their lines. Meaning you will never go home without a registered pup, should you choose to register with the AKC. We do encourage you to.
